Spirit Captain Vince Trocheck Looks to Secure Spot with Team USA
Twenty seven players will be vying for a spot on the U.S. National Team in preparation for the 2013 World Jr. Hockey Championship, and the list includes Vince Trocheck of the Spirit. USA Hockey has announced its preliminary roster for the event, and Trocheck will be heading to New York to attend training camp from December 16th to the 18th. The final 23 player roster will be unveiled on December 23. Trocheck has enjoyed a tremendous season for the Spirit this year as he is currently 6th in OHL point production with 21 goals, and 24 assists for 45 points. Earlier this season, the Pittsburgh native became the Spirit’s all-time assist leader in team history, and he ranks second with his 235 career points with Saginaw, just behind Ryan McDonough, who produced 247 points in his career with the Spirit.
