Florida Signs McFarland

The Saginaw Spirit are pleased to congratulate forward John McFarland, who signed an entry level contract with the National Hockey League’s Florida Panthers.  McFarland joined the Spirit in the first half of the season via trade with the Sudbury Wolves, notching a combined 25 goals and 13 assists for 38 points in 49 regular season games this year.  McFarland was drafted by Florida in the second round (33rd overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
