#NHLDraft Prospect Profile: Michael Vukojevic
A coveted defenceman in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection, Michael Vukojevic made his way to Kitchener midway through his 17-year-old season and has gradually filled out his 6-foot-3 frame.
The Oakville, Ont. native won gold with Canada in last summer’s Hlinka Gretzky Cup and returned to the Rangers where he posted 29 points (3-26–29) as a sophomore.
NHL Central Scouting describes Vukojevic as one who “plays the body and finishes hits with authority while also looking to get involved with the offence as he supports the rush up ice. He handles and moves the puck effectively on plays; gets his shots through to the net from the point and is utilized in all situations.”
Vukojevic enters the 2019 NHL Draft as the 55th ranked North American skater on NHL Central Scouting’s Final Rankings.
