RANGERS AND COLTS COMPLETE TRADE

Kitchener Rangers General Manager Murray Hiebert announced Friday that the team has completed a trade with the Barrie Colts.

In the trade, the Rangers acquire overage defenceman Liam Maaskant from the Colts, in exchange for Sudbury’s sixth round pick in the 2015 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.

Maaskant has appeared in 130 regular season games with the Erie Otters and Barrie Colts, recording seven goals, eleven assists and 145 penalty minutes. The Clinton, ON native added two assists and 26 penalty minutes in the Colts’ playoff run last season.
