Matthew Sop

Matthew Sop is a 6-foot, 182 lbs centerman from Kitchener, ON.

He was selected in the seventh-round, 135th overall by the Rangers in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection. He is one of three overagers for Kitchener this year. 

2019-20…Sop played for the Mississauga Chargers of the OJHL where he recorded 23 goals and 25 assists in 54 games. He also suited up for the Rangers in two games. His first career OHL point came in his OHL debut, on February 29th, 2020 shortly before the OHL got canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic…2021-22…Sop put up 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points in 67 games…2022-23…He scored 23 goals and 33 assists in 67 games.
