Logan Stanley recalled by AHL’s Manitoba Moose
The Manitoba Moose announced on Monday the Winnipeg Jets have reassigned defenceman Logan Stanley to the American Hockey League club.
Stanley, a 1st round, 18th overall pick by the Jets in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, is coming off a career year which saw him reach new highs in goals (15), assists (27), points (42), penalty minutes (111), power play goals (3) and shots on goal (169). At the end of the regular season he was named the recipient of the Bob ‘Snowy’ Schlieman Award as the Rangers’ Best Offensive Defenceman.
He was also the Rangers highest point producing defenceman in the post-season, tallying 16 points in 19 games en route to being named the Rangers co-Playoff MVP with goaltender Mario Culina.
The Moose are currently competing in the second round of the Calder Cup playoffs after defeating the Grand Rapids Griffins (affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings) in their best-of-five opening round series, 3-2. They now face the Rockford IceHogs (affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks) in the Central Division Finals, trailing 2-0 in the best-of-seven.
