Rangers acquire four draft picks in trade with Niagara
Kitchener, Ont. – The Kitchener Rangers announced today that the club has completed a trade with the Niagara IceDogs.
In the trade, Kitchener continues to stock up, receiving four draft picks in upcoming OHL Priority Selections: London’s fifth-round pick in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection, London’s second-round pick in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection, London’s third-round pick in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection and Mississauga’s third-round pick in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection. In return, Kitchener trades forward Andrew LeBlanc and defenceman Jacob LeBlanc to Niagara.
“We would like to wish Jacob and Andrew the best of luck moving forward,” said Kitchener Rangers General Manager Mike McKenzie. “Unfortunately, with so many returning players on our roster, there are good players that won’t get as much opportunity as they deserve. We hope that Andrew and Jacob can play a big role with their new team and have a very successful and enjoyable second half of their OHL career. Good luck to Andrew and Jacob in Niagara, we will miss you in Kitchener.”
