12 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE TONIGHT’S GAME

1) Today marks the second of eight meetings this season between the Guelph Storm and Kitchener Rangers. Guelph snapped a five-game undefeated-in-regulation streak by Kitchener back on October 7, handing the Rangers a 5-2 loss in their first meeting of the season.
2) After dropping a season-high three straight games last week, the Rangers have rebounded to win back-to-back games, most recently a 7-3 drubbing of the Erie Otters on Wednesday morning.
3) Guelph enters tonight’s contest undefeated in regulation in three straight games, a season high. Their most recent action saw them shut out the London Knights, 4-0, on Sunday.
4) The Storm have just two road wins on their season, coming into today with a 2-4-0-1 record away from home. The Rangers are 3-3-1-0 at The Aud.
5) Anthony Dumont-Bouchard remains out of the lineup for tonight’s game with an upper body injury.
6) Storm rookie Cam Hillis sits second in the league in rookie scoring, boasting four goals and 11 points in 15 games played.
7) The Kitchener Rangers home power play sits 10th in the OHL, executing at an 17.2% efficiency (5-for-29). Their home penalty kill is 10th overall at 79.4% (27-for-34).
8) The Guelph road power play ranks 3rd in the league at 26.7% (8-for-30), while their road penalty kill is ranked 13th at 77.3% (17-for-22).
9) Former first overall Storm selection, Ryan Merkley, sits third overall in league scoring by defencemen with 15 points in 15 games.
10) Tonight marks the only game for the Rangers this weekend. The Blueshirts won’t return to action until a week from tonight when they host the Windsor Spitfires at 7:30pm for the team’s Remembrance Day game. For the 13th consecutive season, the Rangers will be wearing commemorative Remembrance Day jerseys which will be available via silent auction during the game.
11) The Storm are back on the ice tomorrow night as they close out their weekend with their second straight road game. They travel to Flint to take on the Firebirds at 7pm.
12) The Rangers are 6-0-0-0 when leading after the first period, but 3-3-1-0 when tied after 20 minutes of play. The Storm are 5-0-0-1 when leading after one period, but 2-3-0-0 when tied after the first.
