Don Cameron’s Legacy to Continue with Charitable Game this Sunday
The Kitchener Rangers are back on home ice this weekend with games Friday vs. The London Knights and Sunday when we host the Kingston Frontenacs.
Sunday afternoon will be a special game day in which we will host members of the 1981-82 Memorial Cup winning team, as well as partner with House of Friendship and Rogers TV for a charitable initiative in honour of Don Cameron.
As we can appreciate, fans in #RTown have grown fond of the Potato Night tradition over the years. However, over the last number of seasons there has been a declining need for potatoes to be donated to community groups and an increasing need for monetary donations and food drives collecting non-perishable goods.
We will still continue on the legacy of Don Cameron by hosting charitable games in his name to support House of Friendship and Food Banks, and will continue do our part to help the growing number of people experiencing homelessness in our community. In saying this we ask that you bring in a monetary donation to be collected upon entry on Sunday to support House of Friendship – we aim to raise a record amount of funds in honour of the legendary #OHLRangers broadcaster.
Tickets for both games this weekend are still available. Head to kwtickets.ca to secure yours, if you are interested in a group experience or suites please email [email protected].
