Walton the Overtime Hero Again as Petes Take Game 3

On Sunday, March 29, the Peterborough Petes were in North Bay for game 3 of their 2026 OHL playoff round 1 series with the North Bay Battalion. For the second game in a row, Kieron Walton scored in overtime, giving the Petes a 2-1 win and 2-1 series lead.
Adam Levac opened the scoring 12 seconds into the game, with Kieron Walton and Garrett Frazer picking up assists. Walton then scored on the powerplay, one-timing a pass from Adam Novotný past Jack Lisson 17 minutes into the extra frame. Easton Rye was outstanding in net, stopping 47/48 shots in the win.
With the OT goal, the OHL Heroes Program donated another $2,000 to Marentette’s Mission. That now makes $4,000 total donated this round.
