Ula Scores as Petes Fall to Spitfires at Home
On Thursday, February 27, the Peterborough Petes hosted the Windsor Spitfires for Indigenous Heritage Night presented by Crowe’s Gas. The game was the Petes 17th sell-out of the season.
Before the game, the opening ceremony included a puck drop featuring representatives from Crowe’s gas, Alderville First Nation, Curve Lake First Nation, and Hiawatha First Nation. The National anthem was then sung in Ojibwe by Curve Lake First Nation School.
Windsor won the game by a score of 7-1. Genc Ula scored the lone goal for Peterborough, with Brady Stonehouse picking up an assist.
