Petes Unveil Jerseys for Annual Pink in the Rink Game
The Peterborough Petes have officially unveiled their 2025 Pink in the Rink jerseys. The team will be wearing the jerseys on Saturday, February 1, when they host the rival Oshawa Generals. The game is presented by Paris Marine.
This year’s jerseys were designed by Kyle McDonald of Pioneer Inc. The jerseys feature two special shoulder patches. The left side shoulder bears the Canadian Cancer Society logo, while the right side shoulder shows the logo of this year’s ambassadors, Pedal for Hope.
This season, funds raised from the Pink in the Rink campaign will support the Pedal for Hope tour, a part of Cops for Cancer at the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS). In addition to supporting pediatric cancer research, the Pedal for Hope tour also raises funds to support the Pediatric Family Counselling Service. This program provides much needed support to families and children coping with a cancer diagnosis, as well as young adults who have surpassed their diagnosis as they transition into adulthood.
Last season, the Petes Pink in the Rink Campaign surpassed the $1 million mark in funds raised for cancer research over the 15 year history of the event. This year, the team has announced a fundraising goal of $50,000, continuing the OHL’s biggest ongoing fundraiser for another season. The Pink in the Rink Campaign will be supported by a number of activations this year. This includes Pink in the Rink t-shirts, an in-person silent auction during the game, and an in-person game worn jersey auction that will take place on the ice post game. The post game auction will be hosted by Chemong Auction Group. This year, fans are also encouraged to send in pictures of their loved ones who have battled cancer. The pictures will be featured on the video board during the game. Pictures can be sent over email to [email protected] before Wednesday, January 29, at 11:59 p.m.
Pink in the Rink t-shirts, window stickers, and replica jerseys are available now by clicking here. Tickets for the game are sold-out, but fans can still catch the game on YourTV Peterborough and Freq 90.5.
