Petes, PMHC, Petes 5050 Booster Club Donations: Peterborough and District Sports Hall of Fame
Over the past month, the Peterborough Petes Hockey Club in partnership with the Peterborough Minor Hockey Council and the Petes 50/50 Booster Club made several donations in honour of the late Betty Nelson, one of the longest Petes supporters and a founding member of the Petes Booster Club, which was started during the 1967-68 season.
Betty actively sold 50/50 tickets at nearly every home game at the Peterborough Memorial Centre until she retired in 2019. She was a staple in the Gibson’s Finest Club section.

The Hall of Fame was founded in 1979 to recognize and honour the names and deeds of those whose athletic prowess has brought fame to this community and to themselves.
It operates as a non-profit corporation and recognizes those whose interest in and work for sport resulted in a climate that benefited athletes and athletics within the community. Part of the Hall’s purpose is to collect, preserve, research, exhibit, and promote objects that are determined to be significant to the history of our community.
