Melee Scores as Petes Fall to Attack at Home
Looking to turn the page on a tough end to last week’s three-game road trip, the Peterborough Petes were back at home on Thursday, November 14, as they hosted the Owen Sound Attack. The Petes teamed up with Special Olympics Ontario, Law Enforcement Torch Run, and the Peterborough Police Service for the game, which was in support of Special Olympics Ontario (SOO). The puck drop featured representatives from the Peterborough Police Service and SOO, with the game activations designed to raise awareness and funds for individuals with an intellectual disability.
Owen Sound scored twice in the third period (including an empty net goalie goal by Carter George) to win the game by a score of 4-1.
Zach Bowen led the way for the Petes, stopping 37/40 in the loss. Jonathan Melee scored the lone goal for Peterborough, with Braydon McCallum picking up an assist.
