It’s already the third game of the week for the Peterborough Petes as they head to North Bay to take on the Battalion. It’s the third meeting between the two teams this campaign, with North Bay leading the season series 2-1. This is Peterborough’s first of a three-game northern road trip, which will see stops in Sault Ste. Marie tomorrow night, and Sudbury on Sunday to cap off five games in seven days.
Peterborough will be looking to get back on track after dropping their last three games, with two of those losses coming from a late third period goal. Caden Taylor will be the focus point for the Petes, with eight of his 17 points on the season coming in his last nine games. Carson Cameron has also been hot as of late, tallying four points in his last four games from the backend.
North Bay comes into the game on a six-game losing streak, having lost eight of their last 10. Despite the rough patch, they still have a plethora of offensive weapons. This includes Anaheim Ducks second round pick Ethan Procyzyn (34P), OA defenceman and Princeton commit Jacob Leblanc (33P), and Clarkson commit Owen Van Steensel (26P). The Battalion are expected to still be without Vancouver Canucks prospect Anthony Romani, who has been sidelined since October with an injury.
Fans can catch tonight’s game at the Petes official road game watch party at Shoeless Joe’s Peterborough. It will also be broadcasted on YourTV Peterborough, CHL TV, and Freq 90.5.
