2022 Petes Training Camp Day Two Wrap-Up: Scrimmages
Peterborough Petes 2022 Training Camp presented by Pat McCauley, East Side Mario’s and Hybrid Sports continued on Wednesday at the Peterborough Memorial Centre with scrimmages from 8:30am to 4:00pm.
Players were split into three teams for scrimmages: Team Hybrid, Team Pat McAuley, and Team East Side Mario’s. For full team rosters, click here.
At 8:30am, Team East Side Mario’s took on Team Pat McCauley. At 9:30am, Team Pat McCauley played Team Hybrid. At 10:30am, Team Hybrid battled Team East Side Mario’s. At 2:00pm, Team East Side Mario’s played Team Pat McCauley. At 3:00pm, it was Team East Side Mario’s vs Team Hybrid. The final scrimmage took place at 4:00pm, with Team Hybrid taking on Team Pat McCauley.
Second year forward, Nick Lardis, who led several fitness testing categories at Hybrid, found the back of the net five times in three games. 2005 born forward, Maximus Macerollo, also had a strong showing with three goals. Below is a recap of the top five scorers from today’s scrimmages.

2022 fifteenth round pick, Carter Frost, led all goalies with 43 saves on the day. Second year goalie, Liam Sztuska, and 2022 fifth round selection, Easton Rye, were second with forty saves each.
Please note that the Thursday afternoon scrimmages have been bumped by 30 minutes. The 2:00pm, 3:00pm, and 4:00pm scrimmages will now be at 2:30pm, 3:30pm, and 4:30pm. Thursday’s scrimmages will be streamed live on the Petes Facebook page.
