Broll and Festarini to Play for Team Ontario Under-17 Squad

The Hockey Development Centre for Ontario announced Wednesday that Erie Otters forward David Broll and goaltender prospect Christopher Festarini have been selected for the Ontario Under-17 hockey team in the 2010 World U-17 Challenge.rrDrafted by the Otters in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection with the tenth overall pick in May, Broll has played in 22 games, recording four goals and five assists. Broll had two assists in his OHL debut September 17 at Sudbury, a 4-3 Otters win.rrFestarini is currently playing for the Port Colborne Pirates of the Golden Horseshoe Hockey League. The 6-1, 170-lb. netminder has a 4-8-1 record with a save percentage of .900. He was selected by the Otters with their fifth round (90th overall) pick in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection. rrPrevious Otters selected to play for Team Ontario in recent World U-17 Challenges are Greg McKegg (2009), Brett Cook (2008) and Ryan O’Reilly (2008).rrThis year’s tournament will be held in Timmins, Ontario from December 28, 2009 until January 4, 2010. Timmins previously held the 2000 edition of the World U-17 Challenge.r
