LAST TIME OUT
In their first games back from holiday break, the Otters showed off their fresh legs with a 4-2 victory over the Guelph Storm. Erie would then dig deep for a come-from-behind, three-unanswered goal victory over the Brantford Bulldogs 5-4 on New Year’s Eve.

WHO TO WATCH
It’s no surprise that Noah Erliden continues to amaze in the OHL. In Saturday’s victory, Erliden put a stop to 39 of Guelph’s 41 shots, including a shootout opportunity for the Storm. After Saturday’s win, where he was also awarded First Star honors, Noah would suit back up on Tuesday against Brantford – stopping 31/35 for a victory against a potent Brantford offense. Erliden’s SV% rests at .911 with a 16-5-3-1 record.
Sam Alfano returned from break with a vengeance. Against the Storm, Alfano led the Otters to victory with two goals. The right winger opened the scoring for the Otters and closed it, scoring the insurance goal in the night’s victory just over thirteen minutes into the third period. Alfano would record his 20th goal of the season on Tuesday night to tie the game against Brantford.
KNOW THE FOE
The Kitchener Rangers defeated the Sudbury Wolves in overtime with a 3-2 final score for the first game back from break. Players to watch for the Rangers include netminder Jackson Parsons, who has been a consistent force in the crease for the Rangers and had over thirty saves and only two goals allowed against the Wolves, and Adrian Misaljevic, who scored the game-winner in OT to give the Rangers the win.
The Windsor Spitfires have won their first two games back from break, continuing a two-game win streak from before the holidays with dual victories over the Soo Greyhounds, including a 4-0 shutout. Players to watch for the Spitfires include Liam Greentree, with three goals and two assists across both games with the Soo, and Ilya Protas, who put up two assists in the 4-0 shutout and scored a goal of his own, as well as two more assists in their next 10-6 win.
