LAST TIME OUT
Against the Niagara IceDogs at home, the Otters took the win in thrilling shootout fashion before falling to the Kitchener Rangers 4-3.
In their final game of the week, on the road against the IceDogs for the second time in three days, the Otters fell again with a 6-3 final score.
WHO TO WATCH
Tyler Challenger picked up his second OHL goal – first on the power play! – on the road against Niagara. The goal, a power play opportunity late in the first period, put the Otters up 1-0 versus the IceDogs. With two OHL goals under his belt, there’s no doubt Challenger will be itching to add a few more to his resume.
Pano Fimis had a three-point weekend, with one assist on Friday and two goals on Saturday. Against the Kitchener Rangers on Friday, Fimis took advantage of a powerplay to set up Malcolm Spence for a game tying goal in the second period. On Saturday against the IceDogs, Fimis found the back of the net for the first time in the second period, extending the Otters’ lead 2-0, and again in the third period to cut the Niagara lead 4-3.
