Suit up and swing into action on Saturday night! On Superhero Night (pres. by Grady’s Decision), the Otters will look to avenge their earlier loss against the Kitchener Rangers. The Otters will wear specialty Superhero-themed jerseys that will be auctioned off post-game to benefit Grady’s Decision, but in-game there will be a Hockey Gives Blood blood drive in the East End Suites to do our part in helping our community’s blood needs with Community Blood Bank of WNY & NWPA.
WHO TO WATCH
Pano Fimis had something to prove last week with three goals and three assists. Fimis picked up a brace against the Ottawa 67’s before a three-point night with one goal and two assists against the Petes. In the Otters’ final game of the week, Fimis nabbed one assist on one of the Otters’ two goals.
Returning from the Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game, it would be Sam Alfano to bring the heat. With three goals and three assists in three games, Alfano showed up and showed out on the ice in a big way. Alfano’s three-point night (2G+1A) against the Petes awarded the overager First Star honors.
KNOW THE FOE
The Niagara Icedogs, the top team in the Central Division, split their last weekend of play with a 3-1 victory over North Bay and a 5-1 loss to Barrie. Players to watch for the IceDogs include Ryan Roobroeck, with two goals and two assists last weekend, and netminder Owen Flores, with only one goal allowed against the North Bay Battalion.
