NW PA AHEC WEEKEND PREVIEW: Four Games of Fun FORE All!
Erie, Pennsylvania – Playoff hockey has been secured for the city of Erie for the second time in a row – but before we can get to the fun stuff, the Erie Otters have business to take care of in the regular season.
The Otters will play back-to-back games on the road, first on Tuesday against the Windsor Spitfires, and then against the Sarnia Sting on Wednesday.
They’ll return to the EIA for a Saturday night game against the Niagara IceDogs before finishing out the weekend with a 4 PM game against the Guelph Storm.

In Erie’s 4-1 victory, the Otters struck back after falling 1-0 with four unanswered goals to take the win and the postseason run. On Saturday’s win, the Otters hounded Owen Sound with three straight goals in the third period to run away with the 7-3 dub.

WHO TO WATCH
Garrett Frazer notched his first OHL goal on Friday night, just in time to keep the train in motion for the playoffs! With exactly six minutes left to play in the third period against Owen Sound, Frazer found the back of the net for the first time to give the Otters a 4-1 lead and eventually secure a playoff run.
Malcolm Spence has been unstoppable! Spence had a five-point weekend, with one goal on Friday and four total points on Saturday in the form of two goals and two assists. A four-point Saturday night earned Spence First Star honors to cap off the weekend.

Players to watch for the Spitfires include Noah Morneau, with a hat trick and one assist in Windsor’s win over Kingston, and Ilya Protas, with three assists and two goals in his last two games.
