London Knights Cooper McAslan and Luca Santala are returning from the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup with international hardware after representing their countries in Edmonton.<\/p>\n

McAslan helped Team Canada capture gold with a dominant 8-1 victory over the United States in the championship game. The Knights defenceman recorded an assist in the final and finished the tournament with three assists.<\/p>\n

Canada went undefeated throughout the event, posting a perfect 5-0 record while outscoring its opponents 34-12. McAslan contributed at both ends of the ice during the run, helping Canada earn its first Hlinka Gretzky Cup title since 2024.<\/p>\n

Santala helped Team Finland secure bronze with a 3-2 comeback victory over Slovakia. With Finland trailing 2-1, the Knights forward tied the game just 34 seconds into the third period before adding an assist on the eventual power-play winner.<\/p>\n

Santala finished the tournament with two goals and four assists across five games. His six points included a goal and an assist against Czechia and an assist in Finland\u2019s semifinal matchup against Canada.<\/p>\n

The dates are set and the theme nights are picked. The London Knights\u2019 2026-27 promotional schedule is officially here, featuring several special events throughout the upcoming season.<\/p>\n

Home Opener and Fan Fest<\/h2>\n

The Knights will officially open the 2026-27 season on Friday, September 18. Fans can join the team before puck drop for Fan Fest and help kick off another season in the Forest City.<\/p>\n

Remembrance Day Ceremony<\/h2>\n

The Knights\u2019 annual Remembrance Day Ceremony returns on Wednesday, November 11. The team will honour the brave individuals who have served and continue to serve our country.<\/p>\n

Teddy Bear Toss<\/h2>\n

A junior hockey tradition returns to Canada Life Place on Tuesday, December 8. Fans are encouraged to bring a new stuffed toy to throw onto the ice following the Knights\u2019 first goal. All donated toys will help support local families during the holiday season.<\/p>\n

New Year\u2019s Eve<\/h2>\n

Ring in the New Year with the Knights on Thursday, December 31. The annual New Year\u2019s Eve game returns for an afternoon of hockey in downtown London.<\/p>\n

Bobblehead Night<\/h2>\n

Bobblehead Night comes to Canada Life Place on Wednesday, February 3. Additional giveaway details will be announced closer to the game.<\/p>\n

Don Brankley Hall of Fame Game<\/h2>\n

The annual Don Brankley Hall of Fame Game will take place on Friday, February 5. A new class of Knights legends will be inducted into the London Knights Hall of Fame and honoured before puck drop.<\/p>\n

Family Day<\/h2>\n

Spend Family Day with the Knights on Monday, February 15. Bring the entire family for an afternoon of hockey at Canada Life Place.<\/p>\n

Farmer’s Night<\/h2>\n

Farmer’s Night returns on Wednesday, March 3, as the Knights celebrate the hardworking members of London and the surrounding agricultural community.<\/p>\n
