The London Knights are pleased to announce that forward Ryker Kesler has signed an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the hockey club.

Kesler was selected by the Knights in the second round, 27th overall, of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection and now officially joins the organization ahead of the upcoming season.

A hardworking forward with a strong two-way game, Kesler has earned a reputation for his competitiveness, work ethic and ability to contribute in all situations. His commitment to playing a complete 200-foot game makes him a valuable addition to the Knights forward group.

Throughout his minor hockey career, Kesler has demonstrated consistent offensive production while also taking pride in the defensive side of the game. His leadership qualities and willingness to compete every shift fit the identity the Knights continue to build.

The signing marks another important addition to London's 2026 draft class as the organization continues preparations for the 2026-27 season.

London Knights Sign Luca Santala to OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement

The London Knights are pleased to announce that forward Luca Santala has signed an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the hockey club.

Santala was selected by the Knights in the second round, 40th overall, of the 2026 CHL Import Draft. Already generating significant attention from NHL scouts, Santala is currently projected to be selected 12th overall in the 2027 NHL Draft according to Daily Faceoff's early draft rankings.

The 6-foot-2 forward spent the 2025-26 season with Kiekko-Espoo in Finland, recording 12 points in 25 games at the U20 level while adding 22 points in 17 games with the club's U18 team. Santala also represented Finland internationally, including at the 2026 IIHF Under-18 World Championship where he recorded six points in five games.

Capable of playing both centre and wing, Santala brings a combination of size, skill and hockey sense to the Knights lineup. His offensive instincts, strong two-way game and ability to create scoring opportunities have established him as one of the premier young players in his age group, making him one of the most exciting young prospects set to arrive in the Ontario Hockey League.

The signing adds another highly skilled piece to London's roster as the club continues preparations for the 2026-27 season.

Cooper McAslan Invited to Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team Training Camp

London Knights defenceman Cooper McAslan has been invited to attend Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team Training Camp.

McAslan will join some of the top under-18 players from across the country as Hockey Canada evaluates its roster ahead of the upcoming 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

The camp will give players the opportunity to take part in practices, off-ice training and evaluation sessions while competing for a chance to represent Canada.

McAslan’s invitation marks another step in his development and recognizes him as one of the top players in his age group.

Ryan Beaulieu Invited To Hockey Canada’s National Under-17 Development Camp

London Knights first-round pick Ryan Beaulieu recently participated in Hockey Canada’s National Under-17 Development Camp, marking another significant step in his hockey career.

Hockey Canada invited 80 of the country's top under-17 players to the five-day camp, which was held July 17-21 at the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex in Oakville, Ontario.

Throughout the camp, players participated in on-ice sessions, fitness testing, practices, classroom sessions and intrasquad games as Hockey Canada evaluated talent ahead of the 2026 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

Selected 14th overall by the London Knights in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection, the London, Ont., native earned his invitation following an impressive season with the London Jr. Knights U16 program. The left-shot defenceman established himself as one of the top blueliners in his age group with his poise with the puck, strong skating ability and reliable two-way play.

Beaulieu was one of 31 Ontario Hockey League prospects invited to the national camp, the most of any Canadian Hockey League member league.

The National Under-17 Development Camp served as the first step in Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence for many of the country’s top young players. Hockey Canada will now continue evaluating players before selecting the rosters that will represent Canada at the 2026 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge later this year.

LONDON, ON The London Knights are pleased to announce the signing of Goaltender Kobe Nadalin to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Nadalin joins the Knights organization following a strong 2025-26 season split between the Woodstock Navy Vets and Waterloo Siskins. The Woodstock, Ontario native appeared in 18 regular season games with the Navy Vets, posting a 12-3-2 record along with a 2.04 goals-against average and a .945 save percentage. Nadalin also appeared in six playoff games, recording a .921 save percentage. Nadalin also made three appearances with the Waterloo Siskins, finishing with a 1.62 goals-against average, a .954 save percentage. LONDON, ON The London Knights are very proud to announce that 2026 first round selection, Ryan Beaulieu has signed his OHL Scholarship and Development agreement with the Club. Ryan, a Londoner, was selected 14th overall from the London Junior Knights program led by team of the century captain, Danny Syvret. The 6’0, 190 pound defencemen played a complete game recording 47 points in 28 games last season. He also showed his compete in the team’s playoffs with another 19 points from the blueline in only 8 games. In addition to his strong play, Ryan captained his club to a U16 Alliance Championship and was named to the OHL Cup All Star Team with 11 points in 6 games. Ryan is a second generation London Knight. His Father, Josh Beaulieu played for the Knights from 2003-07 winning a Memorial Cup in 2005. “We are very happy to have Ryan in our organization. 4 Knights Selected at 2026 NHL Draft, Extending 58-Year Draft Streak

The London Knights continued their long-standing tradition of developing NHL talent at the 2026 NHL Draft, with four players hearing their names called over the weekend in Buffalo. The selections extended the franchise's remarkable streak to 58 consecutive years with at least one player selected in the NHL Draft. The 2026 draft also marked the fourth straight year that a London Knight has been selected in the first round, with the club producing multiple first-round picks in three of the last four drafts. Leading the way was 6-foot-8, 240-pound defenceman Maksim Sokolovskii, who became the first Knight off the board when he was selected 27th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers. Sokolovskii's combination of size, reach and mobility made him one of the most intriguing defensive prospects in the draft as he begins the next chapter of his career with the Flyers organization. Just five picks later, forward Jaxon Cover was selected 32nd overall by the Ottawa Senators, giving the Knights two first-round selections for the third time in the past four years. Born in Canada and raised in the Cayman Islands, Cover also made history by becoming the first player from the Cayman Islands ever selected in the NHL Draft. His unique journey to becoming a first-round pick has made him one of the draft's standout stories. The Knights continued to be well represented on Day 2 of the draft as forward Ryan Brown was selected in the fifth round, 155th overall. Knights Prospects Gather in London for Development Camp

LONDON, ON The London Knights held their annual Development Camp in London this past weekend, bringing together the organization's newest prospects for a weekend focused on development, competition, and introducing players to the standard expected of a London Knight. The camp provided players with their first opportunity to work alongside Knights coaches and staff while beginning to build relationships with teammates both on and off the ice. For Director of Player Development Jamie Baker, one of the biggest takeaways from the weekend was seeing the group begin to come together. "It was good to see the energy," said Baker. "A lot of guys, obviously, it's their first time here after being drafted. Even on the bench, you could see guys starting to come together as a team." Beyond the on-ice sessions, the weekend gave prospects an opportunity to learn more about the culture that has helped define the Knights organization. "I think just being around the guys that were here last year and learning some of what it takes to be a London Knight," Baker said. "Work ethic, coming back every day, listening to coaches, and putting in the work." Scout Tom Mannino enjoyed the opportunity to see this year's draft class and returning prospects together for the first time. "It's a great opportunity to see the players you've drafted this year and the players you've had your eye on throughout the season," said Mannino. "It's great to see them come out and compete and see how they've developed and changed over the course of the year." As expected, there were some nerves early on, particularly for players attending their first OHL development camp. Those nerves quickly faded as the weekend progressed. "You always have some guys that come in with a little nervousness," Mannino said. "That's normal. By the second game, things tightened up and the players started to settle in." Mannino was also impressed by the overall compete level shown throughout the weekend. "I saw good effort, good compete, some grit, some battles, and a couple of really nice skill plays," he said. "It's very promising and exciting for what the future holds for these guys." Assistant Coach Rick Steadman echoed those sentiments, noting the effort shown by players despite many not having played a game in several months. "A lot of guys haven't actually played a game in about three months," said Steadman. "They went out there, worked hard, made some really nice plays, and it's exciting to see these guys." With Development Camp now complete, players return home with a better understanding of what it takes to wear the green and gold as they continue preparing for the season ahead.
