KNIGHTS EXTEND HISTORIC STREAK IN 2022 NHL DRAFT
JULY 7, 2022 – The London Knights extended their CHL longest streak of 53 consecutive years of having at least one player selected in the NHL Draft, dating back to 1969.
Three Knights heard their name called at the 2022 NHL Draft in Montreal, Isaiah George, Landon Sim, and Jackson Edward were the newest Knights to be selected into an NHL organization.
Isaiah George became the newest member of the New York Islanders when he was drafted at the beginning of round four, 98th overall. George, a 4th round selection of the Knights in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection was a staple on the Knights blueline in the 2021-22 season, filling big minutes admist the absence of key members to the Knights defence. George’s mobility, vision, and athleticism on the back end was something that scouts raved on.
