HAWERY, MITCHELL NAMED TO CANADA U17 ROSTER
Hockey Canada announced today the rosters that will play for Canada at the upcoming U17 World Hockey Challenge in Sarnia. The London Knights will be represented on Canada White by forward Logan Hawery and defenceman Caleb Mitchell.
Hawery was the Knights first round selection in April from the Barrie Colts U16 AAA hockey club. A native of Barrie, Hawery recorded 55 points in 31 games with the Colts in 2023-24 and has recorded one assist through his first five career OHL games so far.
Mitchell, a native of Omemee, spent his minor hockey career with his hometown Peterborough Petes U16 AAA, recording 23 points in 35 games before being drafted in the second round by the Knights. Mitchell made is OHL debut in the Knights home opener but has spent the early part of the 2024-25 season with the London Nationals, scoring 4 goals and 2 assists in 6 games as a rookie.
Both Hawery and Mitchell will depart for Sarnia when the tournament kicks off November 3rd – November 9th at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
