Wolves Score Twice Late to Double Up on IceDogs on Teddy Bear Toss Night
By ROD MAWHOOD
Jack Brauti’s third goal of the season brought the Teddy’s Bear’s down but in the end Sudbury doubled up on the IceDogs 4-2 in front of a season-high 3,927 boisterous Niagara Fans Saturday night at Meridian Centre.
Brauti’s marker tied the game at one in the second period, before the visitors would take the lead just 42 seconds into the final frame.
Kevin He, with his team-leading 19th goal of the season – on the powerplay – tied things at two, but the Wolves would score twice late, including an empty-netter, to seal the deal.
Andrei Loshko continued his impressive play for the IceDogs with a pair of assists in the loss. The veteran forward was named the game’s third star.
All teddy bears collected on the night will be donated to Victim Services Niagara.
The IceDogs now welcome the Guelph Storm Thursday night for a 7 pm puck drop.
Tickets are on sale now through the Meridian Centre of IceDogs Box Office.
