Wassilyn Breaks Franchise Rookie Assist Record
NIAGARA, ON – Following Wednesday night’s game against the Sudbury Wolves, IceDogs’ 16-year-old rookie Braidy Wassilyn etched his name into the franchise record books, recording his 31st assist of the season to set a new IceDogs rookie assist record.
Wassilyn’s record-breaking 31st assist came late in the second period, setting up a Ryan Roobroeck goal to surpass Pano Fimis’ previous mark of 30 assists, set in the 2021-22 season. The milestone solidifies Wassilyn’s standout rookie campaign as he continues to showcase his playmaking abilities.
With a handful of games left in the season, Wassilyn has the opportunity to further extend his record and continue making history in his standout rookie year with the IceDogs.
