TRADE: Niagara IceDogs Acquire Zakary Lavoie in Exchange for Draft Picks
Niagara, ON – The Niagara IceDogs have announced a trade they completed with the Mississauga Steelheads. The IceDogs have acquired right-wing, Zakary Lavoie in exchange for draft picks. “We are very excited to add Zakary,” said IceDogs GM, Darren DeDobbelaer. “He is a pure goal scorer and will help us instantly”.

The 2004-born right-wing from Orleans, Ontario is coming to Niagara. The shoot-first right-winger has tallied 11 goals, 8 assists and 19 points in 28 games played by Mississauga this year. In 64 games last season, the 5’11, 178lb forward, notched 23 goals and 21 assists for the Steelheads. A former first-round (7th overall) pick in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, Lavoie becomes Niagara’s 4th player from the 2020 draft class joining Pano Fimis (2), Aidan Castle (13th), and Andrew LeBlanc (17th).
