Team Black Kicks Off Training Camp with a 4-2 Win Over Team White
NIAGARA ON, – The puck has officially dropped on Day 1 of the IceDogs Training Camp at the Meridian Centre.
The prospects had a busy day full of fitness testing and on-ice practice with the coaching staff before heading to centre ice for a 5:30pm puck drop.
Tonights scrimmage was comprised of 2, stop time periods.
Alex Assadourian (20) opened up the scoring for Team White at 19:34, giving them an early lead. Quickly after Rafek Dianov (17) scored for Team Black, tying the game early on.
The first ended, 2-2 with Masen Wray (24) scoring for Team White, quickly followed by Ryan Roobroeck (20) of Team Black taking it down the middle to score team Black’s second goal of the game.
The second period saw Team Black take the lead with Andrew Vermuelen scoring.
The only other scoring was Mathieu Paris sealing the game with an empty netter with 30 seconds remaining in the second period.
