Roobroeck and He Stay Hot, Shorthanded IceDogs Fall On The Road In Saginaw
SAGINAW, MI – A shorthanded IceDogs team fall to the red hot Saginaw Spirit. Ryan Roobroeck would score once again as he continues to lead all 2007 born rookie forwards in goals scored (9). Meanwhile Kevin He grabbed an assist as his point streak continues at eight games.

Starting Goaltenders: Marcus Vandenberg (Niagara) – Andrew Oke (Saginaw)
The Spirit would get off to a flying start in this contest, scoring two goals with just over two minutes of gametime gone. After a slow start for the IceDogs, Mike Levin would give them a boost, scoring his sixth of the season to make it a 2-1 game at the 3:26 mark of the period. Ivan Galiyanov and William Stewart would both record assists on the goal, marking the second straight game that the pair would combine for the assists on an IceDogs goal. The first period goal scoring would continue as Hunter Haight would restore the Spirit two goal lead at the 5:40 mark. With four goals being scored in the opening six minutes, both goaltenders would shut the door for the remainder of the period, keeping it a 3-1 scoreline heading into the middle frame.
Saginaw would continue their scoring ways in the second period as they were able to bury two goals past Vandenberg. Although being outscored in the period, the IceDogs would get numerous high quality scoring chances but couldn’t find a way past Saginaw goalie, Andrew Oke. Kevin He and Ryan Roobroeck were stopped on respective breakaways, meanwhile Mike Levin was denied in tight after Ethan Czata drove to the net setting up Mike Levin for the grade A scoring chance. The IceDogs would trail by four heading into the final frame.
The Spirit would once again open the scoring in the period, however, Ryan Roobroeck would responded rather quickly, beating Oke on a breakaway for his ninth of the season. This goal brings his tally up to five in his last six games. Kevin He would also record the lone assist on the goal to extend his point streak to eight games. Kevin He is up to ten points during his point streak.
