Mike Levin Captures Gold With Team Israel
SOFIA, BULGARIA – IceDogs forward, Mike Levin, and Team Israel go undefeated at the 2024 IIHF U20 Division III, Group A to capture gold and secure promotion to Division II, Group B next season.
Mike Levin posted 9 goals and 8 assists for 17 points in only four games played, leading Team Israel and the tournament in scoring. Israel started the tournament off with a 8-6 win over New Zealand where Levin started off strong with 2 goals and 1 assist. Israel would than record a 7-3 and 16-1 win over Bulgaria and Kyrgyzstan respectively. Levin recorded 6 goals and 7 assists across those two games. He would then be suspended for Israel’s fourth game in which they won, securing them the gold medal. In the fifth and final game Israel would beat Mexico 6-3 as Levin put up 1 goal and 1 assist.
In 16 career games with the U20 Team Israel, Mike Levin has recorded a total of 30 goals and 22 assists for 52 points.
