IceDogs Stop Storm
By ROD MAWHOOD
The Niagara IceDogs stopped the Guelph Storm 5-3 Thursday night at Meridian Centre.
After falling behind 1-0 just 30 seconds into the middle stanza, the IceDogs would erupt for four answered goals in less than six minutes to carry a 4-2 lead into the final stanza.
The line of Ethan Czata, Ryan Roobroeck and newly acquired Blake Arrowsmith was impressive all night long, as Roobroeck scored twice and added an assist, while Czata had a goal and a helper.
Niagara Head Coach Ben Boudreau was quick to praise Czata.
“I think he’s worth the price of admission every night,” said Boudreau. “He plays the right way, and it’s a shame he wasn’t selected for the Top Prospects game this week because that performance (tonight) was worth the watch.”
Mike Levin and Mason Wray had the other Niagara goals.
The IceDogs host the Flint Firebirds Friday night as fans are encouraged to wear plaid in support of Project Plaid in support of kids Mental Health.
Tickets are on sale now through the Meridian Centre and IceDogs office.
