IceDogs Lose Hard Fought Effort Against Rangers
NIAGARA, ON – The Niagara IceDogs fell to (27-17-3-3) on the season, after a 9-1 loss against the Kitchener Rangers.
Kitchener set the tone early, opening the scoring just 19 seconds into the game with a goal from Christian Humphreys. The Rangers carried that momentum throughout the contest, adding three goals in the second period and five more in the third to secure a dominant victory.
Niagara’s lone goal came late in the third when Ivan Galiyanov found the back of the net, assisted by Ryan Roobroeck and Braidy Wassilyn. However, it was not enough to slow down a high-powered Rangers offence led by Cameron Arquette, who tallied two goals, and Luca Romano, who netted his 19th of the season.
The IceDogs will look to bounce back in their next outing against the Erie Otters on February 12th at the Erie Insurance Arena.
