Vermeulen, a native of Selkirk ON was originally selected in the 4th round by the Niagara IceDogs in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection. During his time with the IceDogs the 6’1” 190 lbs, 18 year old Left Winger accumulated 5 goals and 11 points through his 70 games played.
