IceDogs Collapse Against Colts
NIAGARA, ON — The Niagara IceDogs failed to claim two points Sunday afternoon, falling to (26-14-2-1) on the season, after a 5-1 loss against the Barrie Colts.
It was Barrie who jumped out to the quick start today, with two first-period goals from the visiting squad.
The second period was a quiet one by goal-scoring standards, until Ryan Roobroeck scored his 30th marker of the season to make it a 2-1 game with 21 seconds left in the second frame.
Unfortunately, that was as close as Niagara would come to tying up the contest – as three unanswered third-period goals from Barrie would make it a 5-1 Colts final.
The IceDogs are back in action on Wednesday, January 22nd against the Brantford Bulldogs at Brantford Civic Centre at 7:00 pm.
