IceDogs Beaten by Bulldogs on Valentine’s Day
BRANTFORD, ON – The Niagara IceDogs fell to (27-18-3-4) on the season, after a 10-1 loss to the Brantford Bulldogs on Friday night at the Brantford Civic Centre.
There was certainly no love lost between these two geographical rivals in tonight’s Valentine’s Day contest.
The IceDogs unfortunately did not bring their “A-game” in the first period, surrendering four unanswered goals prior to the first intermission.
The second period started off much better for Niagara, with Jack Brauti scoring his eighth goal of the season just 26 seconds into the period, on a one-timer point shot which found its way past the goal line to get the IceDogs on the board.
However, that was the closest the IceDogs would get to tying up the game, as Brantford stepped on the gas from that point onwards.
When the dust settled, it was a 10-1 Bulldogs final – a Valentine’s Day game to forget for Niagara.
The IceDogs are back in action this Sunday, February 16th for “Superhero Day” at the Meridian Centre, once again against the Brantford Bulldogs, at 2:00 PM.
