IceDogs A Grab A Point In A Thrilling Affair With The Colts
BARRIE, ON – The Niagara IceDogs and Barrie Colts put on a show for the home Barrie crowd as the Colts take this one 7-6 in overtime.
The IceDogs would get started early through defenceman Bronson Ride as he found the back of the net just 1:39 into the contest. The Colts would retaliate quickly however, as Colts forward, Roenick Jodoin would pot two in the first to give the Colts a 2-1 lead. IceDogs would tie things back up in the second as Ryan Roobroeck would score his first career OHL goal on the powerplay. The Colts would strike back with three unanswered goals as they took a 5-2 lead into the third period. After the IceDogs and Colts traded goals early in the period, IceDogs alternate captain, Zak Lavoie would score his first of the season to make it 6-4. With under three minutes to play Andrew Wycisk fired one home to come within one before Kevin He would sink the Colts lead with under two minutes to play as he knotted the game up at 6-6 with his first of the campaign. The Colts would end it rather quickly in overtime as Jacob Frasca beat Owen Flores for his second of the game and the game winner.
