Galiyanov Scores First Career Goal, IceDogs Come Up Short Against Wolves
NIAGARA, ON – Ivan Galiyanov scores his first career OHL goal as the IceDogs drop this one to the Sudbury Wolves.

Starting Goaltenders: Marcus Vandenberg (Niagara) – Jakub Vondras (Sudbury)
The opening frame belonged to Marcus Vandenberg as he made a flurry of impressive saves throughout the period to keep the game scoreless. It had appeared that the IceDogs had found the back of the net through Ryan Humphrey, however, the goal was eventually called back for offside. The game would be scoreless heading into the second period.
Unlike the opening frame, the second period was goals galore with a total of four goals being scored. The highlight of the period for the IceDogs came via Ivan Galiyanov who scored his first career OHL goal to tie the game up at one. The Wolves would tack on two more however to take a 3-1 lead. The IceDogs put pressure on Jakub Vondras all period long but he stood tall including a bog penalty shot save on IceDogs newcomer, Brody Crane.
The Wolves would score three in the final frame to make it five unanswered goals, with Kocha Delic scoring two in the final frame. Zak Lavoie would score his team leading seventh goal of the season but the Wolves were able to tack on a few more goals as the game ended 7-2.
