Galiyanov Records Three Points, IceDogs Fall In Heartbreaking Fashion
NIAGARA, ON – The Niagara IceDogs fall in front of 4014 fans at the Meridian Centre on Remembrance Day to the Soo Greyhounds.

The Niagara IceDogs sported specialty Remembrance Day jerseys that were auctioned at games end with all funds going to the Lincoln and Welland Regiment Foundation.
The opening period belonged to Ivan Galiyanov, as the first tear forward recored 1 goal and 2 assists in the period to help give the IceDogs a 3-1 lead. Evan Klein would get this going, picking his spot over the right shoulder of Landon Miller to get the IceDogs on the board. The Greyhounds would tie it up but the tie wouldn’t last for long as Gavin Bryant sprang Ivan Galiyanov on a short-handed breakaway as he made no mistake, giving the IceDogs the 2-1 lead. Kevin He would add to lead as he stepped out the penalty box, picked up the puck, beat a defender wide and tucked in past Miller to make it 3-1 IceDogs.
The Greyhounds would show no quit in the middle frame, scoring three unanswered in the period to give them a 4-3 lead. Before the IceDogs could blink their lead was gone as the Soo wasted no time in mounting their comeback efforts, Julian Fantino scored just 25 seconds into the period as the Greyhounds took momentum early. Connor Clattenburg would tie the game up, this goal would prompt a goalie change for the IceDogs as Owen Flores replaced Marcus Vandenberg in net. The Greyhound would take the lead through a Arttu Karki powerplay goal.
In desperate need of an equalizing goal, Evan Klein would come through for the IceDogs, scoring his second of the game and third of the season. The game would remain tightly contested all the way through with the score staying tied right into the final minute of play. With the clock winding down on the period, Connor Clattenburg would tip it home with 10 seconds remaining to win the game for the Greyhounds.
