VIDEO; ‘Flashback Friday’ – Turning the ‘Bear Den’ Red and White
It’s Friday, and it’s time for a ‘Flashback Friday’ here on soogreyhounds.com.
In this seventh edition we look back to Saturday, November 5th, 2011.
Amidst one of their longest trips each season, one that annually that takes the Hounds to Peterborough, Kingston and Ottawa respectively, the Greyhounds made a special stop in an Eastern Ontario town.
On their travel to the Nation’s Capital, the club made a stop in Smith Falls, Ontario – home of the CCHL’s Smith Falls Bears.
There they practiced at the Smith Falls Memorial Community Centre.
The unique event saw the Hounds practice, mingle with the local hockey fans, engage in a little parking lot hockey and we speak to Ellwood ‘Louie’ Hart who’s son played for the red and white in the early 70’s, along with members of Smith Falls Minor Hockey.
Let’s revisit this event and be sure to stop by every Friday for a new Greyhounds ‘Flashback Friday”!
