COMMUNITY; Hounds keep busy giving back
With their next game not until Saturday at Windsor, the Soo Greyhounds have taken this week to take part in multiple community appearances across town.
Tuesday morning the group of Tim Gettinger, Jack Kopacka, Noah Carroll and Hayden Verbeek continued their weekly visits to Sault Area Hospital as part of the club’s “Connecting Our Community” program, presented by Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation. While visiting various wards of the hospital, the Hounds’ engage in brightening the day of the patients while handing out stuffed animals.
They then followed it up with a visit to the Collegiate Heights Retirement Residence.
That evening, the entire club took part in their annual Kids Workshop at our local Home Depot store. There the Hounds work with the youngsters in an interactive woodworking worship.
While earlier this morning, Matthew Villalta and Mac Hollowell spent the morning with the JK/SK class at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School taking pictures, signing autographs and reading a favourite book.
If you would like to follow the Hounds on and off-the ice don’t to like our social media networks on both Facebook and Twitter.
