HOW IT WORKS:
Eligibility:
Open to not-for-profit organizations such as schools, sports teams and charities.
Rules for Registration:
- One opportunity per team – each team is permitted only one Chuck a Puck opportunity per season, duplicate applications from the same team will be automatically disqualified
- Only the team manager may submit the application on behalf of the team, applications from coaches, parents or other team affiliates will not be accepted
Group Selection:
Groups will be chosen through a lottery system. Only selected groups will be contacted. The sign up will remain open until the deadline for Lottery 3.
If your group is not chosen in Lottery 1, you will automatically be entered into Lottery 2, if not chosen in Lottery 1 or 2, you will automatically be entered into Lottery 3.

Ticketing:
- Each Chuck a Puck group must purchase 50 Regular Season ticket vouchers at $750 including HST ($15 per voucher)
- Vouchers must be picked up and paid for at least 14 days before the Chuck a Puck date
- Each voucher is redeemable for one ticket (adult, senior, student or child) at the box office, vouchers are non-refundable and non-exchangeable
- A minimum of 15 people are required to work the Chuck a Puck, with at least 5 being adults
- Everyone working the Chuck a Puck requires a ticket to enter the game
- Any extra vouchers not used by volunteers can be sold for up to $20 each (including HST), with the group keeping any profits
- 50 seats will be reserved for the Chuck a Puck group until 48 hours before the game, to secure these seats, vouchers must be presented at the box office
Arrival:
Chuck a Puck groups must arrive 1.5 hours before game time to prepare for puck sales.
- 7:07pm Game: arrive by 5:30pm
- 2:07pm game: arrive by 12:30pm
Puck Sales:
- A $75 cash float is provided
- Approximately 500 pucks are available for each game
- Pucks are sold at $2 each, with the winner receiving $100, the remaining funds go to the group
- Puck sales start when the doors open and continue until the 10-minute mark of the 2nd period
- After sales close (or if sold out early), count out $25 in loonies and $50 in toonies for the float, and $100 for the winner, a Greyhounds staff member will collect the float and winner’s prize
Chuck a Puck Execution:
- At the 10-minute mark of the 2nd period, a game night staff member will escort the group to ice level to prepare for puck collection, please meet at the Chuck a Puck table
- At least 5 adults must accompany children on the ice
- Everyone going on the ice must wear a helmet (including adults)
- The Soo Greyhounds in-game host will select the winning puck and announce the winning number
McDougall Energy’s Support:
McDougall Energy Inc. will match the total proceeds raised by each participating Chuck a Puck group, up to a maximum total contribution of $1,000. Matching funds will be calculated based on the verified amount raised during the event.
