Travis Hayes becomes a Penguin in Round 4
With the 9th pick of Round 4 (105th overall), the Pittsburgh Penguins selected Greyhounds’ forward Travis Hayes in the 2025 NHL Draft.
The Westland MI product is coming off his 2nd season with the Hounds.
In 123 career games played, Travis has recorded 35 goals and 51 assists, good for 86 points.
This past season (2024-25) he was a participant in the Inaugural Connor McDavid OHL Prospects game while he was later named the Program’s Unsung Hero (Sault Star Trophy) award winner.
The 5.11, 169 lb forward was originally selected to the Program in the 2nd Round of the 2023 OHL Priority Selection.
