“We are thrilled to once again partner with Special Olympics Ontario and the Law Enforcement Torch Run to raise funds and awareness for this great cause. Back this year will be the ‘Pass the Bucket’ fundraising campaign to help raise much needed funds for the over 26,000 Special Olympics athletes in Ontario. We would like to thank all our fans in advance for their continued generous support of this initiative.” – Jeff McClelland, Soo Greyhounds – Director, Game Day Operations
“Special Olympics Ontario (SOO) thanks the Soo Greyhounds and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service for their ongoing support of the movement. Since 2007, teams across the Ontario Hockey League have supported SOO with OHL Big Ticket Games which provide much needed funds and awareness to 26,000 athletes living in Ontario with intellectual disabilities. Together, we champion inclusion, acceptance and offer opportunities to many athletes in the Region to participate and thrive in sport. Thank you!” – Glenn MacDonell, President and CEO – Special Olympics Ontario
“The Special Olympics provides athletes an incredible opportunity to strive for their goals in competition and build lasting relationships with their fellow competitors. I am proud of the dedication our members have for Special Olympic athletes and the values of Special Olympics Ontario (SOO). Committing to this initiative is rewarding for our members as they see the joy it brings the athletes and their family and friends.” – Chief Hugh E. Stevenson, M.O.M., Ed.D – Sault Ste.
