NHL Draft; LeGuerrier selected by Montreal in Round 5
As the 2019 NHL Entry Draft entered the 5th Round on Saturday, the first member of the Soo Greyhounds heard their name called at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC.
Soo Greyhounds defenceman JACOB LEGUERRIER was the first Hound selected, with the 2nd pick of the 5th Round by the Montreal Canadiens (126th overall)
LeGuerrier, a native of Gloucester is coming off his third season with the Hounds.
The 6.03, 197-lb defenceman has compiled 6 goals and 27 assists ((33 points) in 165 career games with the Soo.
LeGuerrier was ranked 92nd when the NHL Central Scouting released their final rankings for North American skaters in Mid-April.
With Jacob’s selection, the Greyhounds have now produced an NHL Draft pick in 13 consecutive seasons
