EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY; Content and Marketing Coordinator
The Soo Greyhounds are seeking a passionate and creative individual to bring excitement and energy to life through high impact content both on the team’s videoboard during home games as well through social media channels and external marketing campaigns.
The Content and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for creating engaging digital materials for internal and external use, managing the videoboard and arena signage during games, and developing marketing initiatives to promote team’s visibility and engagement. This role involves collaboration with sales staff, corporate partners, and local organizations to enhance game-day experience and wider marketing efforts. Reporting to the Business Manager, the Content and Marketing Coordinator will play a vital role in transforming moments into unforgettable fan experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
The specific responsibilities of the Content and Marketing Coordinator are, but not limited to, the following:
• Develop and produce digital and physical content for internal use, social media platforms, videoboard, arena signage, and marketing campaigns.
• Manage, Coordinate, and operate the videoboard during home games
• Collaborate with sales staff and corporate partners to create custom content for videoboard, signage and promotional initiatives.
• Maintain and update team’s website, ensuring timely and relevant content.
• Engage with local media, sponsors, and community partners to ensure accurate and current game advertising, radio commercials and promotional messages.
• Create visually captivating content that strengthens the Soo Greyhound brand.
• Collaborate with team photographers and videographers to edit and delivery quality video content for multiple platforms.
• Execute video elements that elevate brand storytelling and fan engagement.
• Log, tag and archive footage and photos for easy access and future use.
• Continuously explore new video formats, technologies, and creative techniques to keep content fresh and engaging.
• Coordinate distribution of promotional materials such as pocket schedules and game awareness campaigns through local hotels, tourist information centers, sponsors, and other community partners.
Required Skills:
• Experience with the Adobe Create Suite with an emphasis placed on Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Demonstrated proficiency in editing of video content.
• Basic knowledge on concepts relating to design and branding.
• Knowledge of video compression, such as codecs, exporting, transcoding and converting video files.
• Knowledge of audio techniques: capturing interview audio, voice-overs, and editing.
• Understanding of basic lighting techniques when capturing video/photos.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during games.
• Knowledge of hockey, sports marketing and local community engagement.
• Multi-tasking and organizational skills.

Qualifications:
• Education: Degree or diploma in Film, Media Production, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
• Experience: Prior experience editing video content in live sports, entertainment, or media production environment.
