Six Oshawa Generals to attend NHL rookie camps
Oshawa, Ont., – Following the club’s first three exhibition games, six Oshawa Generals will attend various NHL rookie camps and prospect tournaments.
Forward Calum Ritchie will attend Colorado’s camp, Dylan Roobroeck will attend the New York Rangers, while Rasmus Kumpulainen will attend Minnesota Wild’s rookie camp. All three forwards were recently drafted to the NHL back in June of 2023, while Rasmus is fresh off signing with the Generals following a 1st round selection at the 2023 CHL Import Draft.
The Generals have three others set to attend NHL rookie camps on free agent invites. Defenceman Thomas Stewart received an invitation to the Ottawa Senator’s camp, alongside teammate and forward Stuart Rolofs. Goaltender Jacob Oster also received an invitation from the LA Kings to attend their rookie camp.

Back at home, the Generals look ahead to their final exhibition game on Thursday, September 21st against the Niagara IceDogs in Niagara. The Generals recently dropped their only home tune-up game 11-1 to the visiting Kitchener Rangers. With one final preseason match, the Generals are that much closer to hitting their stride in time for the regular season.
