Aug 27: Lindros vs. Orr — Scrimmage #2 of Training Camp
Griffin showcased his skill in Orr’s zone with a slick wrist shot that sailed top shelf, ringing off the crossbar and marking the game’s first goal.
Less than a minute later, Griffin replicated his earlier move, this time beating goaltender Tim Dolan with a powerful shot to make it 2-0.
Just over five minutes into the first period, Generals’ Matthew Buckley angled towards the net and slid the puck through Dolan’s five-hole, adding another goal.
With 20 seconds remaining in the period, Griffin skated in uncontested and, with a precise shot to the bottom glove-side corner, extended Team Lindros’s lead to 4-0 as they headed into the second period.
A minute and a half into the second period, Griffin crashed the net again, securing a 5-0 advantage for Team Lindros.
Generals’ 2024 first-round draft pick, Brady Smith, scored his first Camp goal with a fortunate bounce, putting Team Orr on the board.
Brooks Rogowski, a second-round pick from the 2024 Draft, added a powerplay goal for Team Lindros with a shot from the short side of goaltender Owen MacLean, making it 6-1.
The only goal of the third period came from Generals’ Luke Torrance, assisted by Tristan Delisle, bringing the final score to 6-2.
Aug 27: Lindros vs. Orr — Scrimmage #3 of Training Camp
Team Orr got on the board early with OJHL’s Gavin McGahey-Smith firing a shot past Generals’ Noah Bender.
Buckley responded by evening the score, coming in wide against Oster and managing a fanned shot that trickled through the five-hole and into the net.
Buckley struck again with a composed shot that slipped past Oster.
Shortly after, Delisle scored with a top-shelf shot, levelling the game at 2-2 just seconds after Lindros had taken the lead.
But moments later, Lindros regained the advantage when Evan White of the Mississauga Reps fired a shot through traffic from the point, giving Team Lindros a 3-2 lead as the second period ended.
The third period left the scoreboard still until 25 seconds left when Delisle found the back of the net amongst a scrum in front to push the match to overtime.
Five minutes of 3v3 came with a conclusion from Delisle with his third of the game.
The next Lindros versus Orr scrimmages are tomorrow at 10 am and 3:45 pm.
