Gens host rival Petes on Nickelodeon Day
Oshawa, Ont., – After a week with no games the Oshawa Generals return to the Tribute Communities Centre where they will take on rivals the Peterborough Petes.
It is Nickelodeon Day in Oshawa as the Generals will don Paw Patrol Jerseys that will later be auctioned off in support of the Durham Children’s Aid Foundation. Chase will be on the case and joined by Skye in the concourse.
Jacob Oster is eyeing his 100th game in the Ontario Hockey League, having played 60 games with Gulph Storm and 39 so far with the Oshawa Generals.
The Gens come into this one after a week-long break with some ground to make up. Oshawa sits last in the East Division and second last in the Eastern Conference.
Peterborough is hot. Carrying a three-game win streak the Petesare sitting in first place both in the division and the conference.
It took overtime for the Generals to take down the Petes last time out as Beckett Sennecke completed a hat trick to win the game. After scoring two goals in the first half of the game the Gens let the lead slip from their grasp as Peterborough tied it up part way through the third.
But it was all for not as just a minute and a half into overtime Sennecke buried a one-timer that sent the fans home happy as Oshawa won 3-2.

Jacob Oster: On the verge of his 100th Ontario Hockey League Game Oster has been a staple in the Oshawa Generals creaseplaying in 39 of the 49 games since arriving from the Guelph Storm. This season Oster is posting a .904 save percentage and a 3.18 goals against average.

Jonathon Melee: Leading the Peterborough Petes in points and goals the winger has already set a career best for goals with 10 and is just seven points off his best for points sitting at 20 this seasons.
