Generals leave Owen Sound after overtime fall
Owen Sound, Ont., – The Oshawa Generals fall in overtime for the second game in a row as they drop this one 2-1 to the Owen Sound Attack.
Jacob Oster made 22 saves on 24 shots in the loss while it was Luca D’Amato scoring the lone goal for the Gens.
The Oshawa Generals opened the scoring when Ethan Toms moved it to Luca D’Amato who carried the puck over the blueline, snapping a shot through a screen and beating Carter George making it 1-0 Gens.
Owen Sound would answer just over 30 seconds later when Sam Sedley came in very patiently and it was Colby Barlow drifting away taking a pass, tapping it into the net tying the game at 1-1.
For the second time in as many games, this one went to overtime and just like the last the Generals would fall as Barlow found himself all alone firing one five-hole, ending the game and sending the Owen Sound fans home happy.
The Oshawa Generals’ next home game is Monday, February 19th when they take on the Niagara IceDogs, get your tickets here.
